2005 4Runner SR5 Factory Amplifier location

Does anyone know the location of the factory external amplifier, or if SR5 has an external amplifier. Also the color code of the rear stock speaker wires would be helpful as would a pin out or diagram of the stock head unit outputs.

CD Player with tape deck, no DVD player
No navigation system
No seperate rear passanger audio

It should be in the rear cargo area on the passenger side near the rear subwoofer.

Dont you have to have the premium JBL sound packege to get the sub n amp?

Yes that too, I was assuming that was what he was talking about. IF you do not have the 10 speaker set up then I retract my last post.

BTW, have you heard that sound system? If so, how is it? I have a 97 4runner with Focal 6.5s up front, and a jbl amp for them. (subs and all too) They sound real nice, but I need some more rear fill.

I have a 05 Sport Edition w/ the 10 speaker JBL system. It doesn't bump though its decent.

it took a while for me to get back to updating this post, but for those who want to know the sr5 with the normal sound package does not have a factory external amp. however the lack of pre amp outputs was taken care of with the instalation of a pioneer head unit with the dvd player and all of the other features that i thought i'd never get to play with (out side of the audio store's demo models). it was a "fun" instalation; thanks to everyone that responded.
