Does anybody know about the wiring on the rear control unit of a 2001 Taurus? I bought the Haynes manual, which has helped a little but then there are three wires I don't have a clue about. One is tan, one is light blue and pink, and one is light green and black (not black and light green). Also does anyone know if the rear control unit has a common audio return wires and if so, which one(s) it/they are?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I don't know if the 2001 uses the same RCU and wiring as the 1998 or not. I have 12 images of the wiring diagram for the stereo (including the RCU and CD changer) which can be viewed at http://publish.hometown.aol.com/rod2414738/Car_Stuff/130-1.jpg
Substitute the numbers "1" through "12" for the "x" to view the different images.
BTW, the stereo signal wires from the head unit to the RCU are differential if you have the Mach system (ie: you cannot just tap in to those lines and run them to an aftermarket amplifier).

Here's one for the '97 taurus SHO that may be like yours. http://www.v8sho.com/SHO/SpeakerWiringColorCoding.htm I'm having trouble routing a power cable through the firewall to the battery but was successful in installing an fm modulated trunk mounted 6-disc changer to an "audio unfriendly"99' taurus thanks to this forum.I found a plug behind the brake master cyl. but it lead into the wiper motor area.....any ideas?
