Does anyone had that problem ?It says, that sensor for low voltage BANK 1 is a problem.Do any of you know where is that sensor ? Or am i doomed to go to mechanic with that ?

This on Ford Win 97. I used to have codes for misfire cylinder, and the "check engine" light is OFF.

I would expect this to light up the CEL.

Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S -11) out of range Low Voltage, Bank #1.

Bank # 1 is the bank of Cylinders #1-3, which are on the rear of the engine (firewall side).

Upstream is the oxygen sensor that is before the catalytic converter.

Location of this sensor, is the exhaust pipe that comes from the rear exhaust manifold, before the rearmost catalyitic converter.

From under the car, you can see this by following the pipe on the front of the rear catalytic converter, and following that pipe up....the oxygen sensor will be sticking out of the driver side of the pipe.

This is a code that is indicating a problem with the sensor, could be a connector, wire, or the sensor it's self. Verify that the wiring is not against the pipe, that the connector is solid (unplug, inspect, plug back in).
The voltage is generated by a chemical reaction within the sensor.
There are 4 wires, 2 are for the heater, which would generate different codes.
The other 2 are for the sensor.

To replace the sensor...
1. get a "oxygen sensor socket", this is a deep socket with a slot on the side to accomadate the wires.
2. Spray some "PB-Blaster" penetrating oil onto the threads of the sensor and let them soak.
3. Yes, you can get at the sensor, but you will not have a lot of motion for turning the sensor.
4. Make sure to put some high temp. anti seize compound on the threads of the sensor that you put in.....

You can get the sensor, for my '96, for about $50.
Get the Bosch replacement.....for my '96 is Bosch # 15716.

You can get the sensor and the Permetex anti seize compound, as well as the oxygen sensor socket at Autozone or Advance Auto parts.

CEL was on,but when was on and i connected a code reader,it told me about misfire cylinder. Then when the CEL was OFF,it showed me a code 131 and ....1131!!This one i don't understand it.
The engine shakes when in idle,it's like about to turn off itself .

I had my mechanic to read this codes again and it is a an Oxygen sensor down there,as you have described.I have asked him how much will it cost and the answer was ..about 140 bucks each.
Thanks for input Wis,i will replace it myself and save some money.
