installation of fog light on rodeo 01

I'm about to install some fog lights on my rodeo 2001 (it's a canadian one, don't know if it's different..),
All the wire seems to be there from the hood circuit breaker box to the front of the car. The relay and the the fuse are already there (stock from factory...) and I assume that the wires from the hood circuit breaker box to the inside of the cockpit are there either. I'm just wandering where should I plug the wire going to my switch (I want to install a separate switch for the fog lights...)
I prefer to use the knowledge here instead of trying too much and risk to break something...
Where could I find a drawing of the electrical circuit, especially the one inside the cockpit.
Thanks
Philippe Martin

The switch wire is up under the dash. You can buy an oem switch and just plug it in. I did just that when I installed my OEM fogs.

Pop the blank out where the fog light switch is supposed to go. Look thru the opening with a flashlight. You will see a pigtail with the connector spade coiled & taped a foot or so back in the dash. Look for the blue tape. I reached in with a coat hanger (CAREFULLY!) and pulled it out.

Ryan, where did you get your OEM light kit? I want to put a set on mine and would like to go OEM. Does the kit also include the switch?

You can get the kit at St. Charles (2 lights (Hella), relay and switch) but it is pricey (close to 200 or more?) but it is a direct fit. You can get the switch for under 20 bucks and bolt up your own lights, and plug in your own relay if you want.
I got lucky and found a honda dealer that was selling all of their Passort stuff dirt cheap (I think I paid like 60 bucks shipped for the kit) about a year and a half ago.

From what Is see you only need 2 fog lights, 2 plugs and 1 switch, the rest is already there (wires, relay, fuse etc.)
I'll see in few days when I'll have time to finish my installation...

I bought my OEM foglights (round) on ebay about a year ago for $60. It was the kit that included everything from Isuzu. I installed them on my 2000 Passport. Be careful installing, the driverside can be a knuckle buster getting the mounts mounted. I did not remove the bumper as everyone told me to, but I did get them installed in about an hour and a half without removing the bumper, good luck.

I too installed an OEM fog kit on my 2002 about 1.5yrs ago. Got it from St. Charles. I'd have to look in the archives but I think I paid around $160 for the kit (lights, brakets, pigtail plugs, dash switch, relay) The kit was a snap to install, but I had to do some minor bumper trimming (top of light cutouts) so I could get them installed. I do have a problem with the passenger side light. I got water/road salt/contaminants in the connection between the lfog light & chassis, which cooked the connector pretty good. The light works intermittently. I'd have to nip off/replace the chassis connector & replace the small pigtail cord to fix it. Yet another project on the back burner!

I have a 99 Rodeo and I am trying to install foglights. I purchased the lights themselves and the dash switch, but i can't get the lights to turn on. I assume from reading previous posts that I need a relay. What kind of relay do I need and where can i get it and where on the vehicle would I install it?

there is a relay in the same box that you could pull and pull into the fog spot to test it out. But then you still need a 2nd relay.....

You need a the relay too.
I was fortunate and found a Passport Fog light kit for 60 bucks at a dealer that was selling off the passport parts.
Took like 30 minutes to install and yep the wiring is all there.
