I thought I would start this trend to watch our members Rodeo's rack up the miles over the years.

Here is the format to use:

Absolutlely no major problems. My Rodeo has been reliable, dependable, and tough as nails! I love this truck!!!

Oh yeah, I'm a fanatic about the oil changes, replacing it at 3k or a little sooner! Plus I've stayed on top of all the tune ups and services. This has included over the life of the truck: replacing all the fluids, filters, spark plugs, PCV valve, timing and accessory belts (tensioner as well), thermostat, shocks, all 4 CV Boots, cleaning and repacking both CV axles, brake pads and rotors, switching to Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos, and other things that I can't remember.

My Rodeo runs great, looks great, and isn't slowing down a bit!!!

Got it on a diet of Mobil 1 so that should stop the wear. I am on my second Rodeo - First one was:

Year:1998 2WD
Engine:3.2 V6
Mileage:85K
Any major problems: Only an alternator

Second (current) one:

Year:2001 LS 4WD
Engine:3.2 V6
Mileage:135K
Any major problems: None - The only "broken" part was an A/C clutch and ended up replacing everything (compressor, evaporator, expansion valve, etc)
As "routine" maintenance, changed:
Shocks, plugs (at around 70K), timing belt, water pump, dropped the transmission pan and replaced filter, fluid (~80K)

Most of my 135K are highway miles - Both vehicles have been very good to me!

3.2 V6

Major Problems: WELLLLLLLLLLLLLL...!!!!!!!
I had to change the engine besause of a spun rear main. I usually check the oil every 2 weeks. My EGR valve plugged up and from what I have researched it will cause the engine to burn oil. Sooooo anyway I had to replace the engine. Now that it is done I have a transmission leak that was caused from the engine swap.(see my post under transmission problems to read the whole story) I have an appointment tomorrow to fix that.(with a a real transmission repair shop)
Anyway, I love my 'Rodeo. I travel every year to NewMexico from Houston puling my motorcycle and it just fly's over the mountains. I hope they come out soon with a new model of the Rodeo????

Struggling with an electrical gremlin right now. See post.(Fixed it! 4/19)

Just bought the truck last summer from the original owner. Wanted a good old SUV to take the pooch to the park and keep the hair and mess out of my car. Love that it holds a couple of 4x8 sheets and hauls lots of tools too!

Replaced radiator (recall), all tires, timing belt, water pump, everything else was scheduled maintenance (LOF, tire rotations, etc).

3.2L v6
135XXXmiles
Work done:
O2 sensor ~110k
Starter ~110k
Never done brakes!
New spark plug wires. The old ones would pop off.
Drivers window regulator replaced
Timing belt and tensioner
Transmission flush with new filter-oil smelled burnt
current gremlins I haven't gotten around to yet:
rear window is not working from either drivers or door switch. The "Tick". Smog last time almost failed, which has never happened. I was thinking the idle air control valve.
BTW. I used to go 10-15k on oil before I changed it.( why do you think I deserve the "Tick")
I also just changed the fuel filter for the first time ever. Just had to cut it open and look at all the thick crud on it.
5 years ago it was repainted because a tree fell on it. Damaged the hood/grill, windshield, new roof put on and generally scratched the heck out of it.
Other than the crappy ride, which I might do the Tokico springs and shocks to fix. I have enjoyed this SUV.

4WD V6 3.2L 5spd
176,000 miles
Major problems: 1) Oil leak due to head gasket @ ~30,000 miles. Part of the fix was installing revised spark plug cables.
Minor problems:
1) Rear power windows don't work.
2) Back window not latching properly (replaced latch spring @90k and need to again now)
3) Intermittent engine ticking when cold or after running engine for long periods at high speed (has not been a problem in a while but when it was, changing oil more frequently seemed to help).
4) Clunk when turning.
5) Gasket in exhaust pipe failed @ 170k - replaced; cheap repair.
6) Engine uses 1 qt. oil per ~1500 miles.
7) Replaced driver side power window switch assembly at ~135k.
Maintenance:
1) Changed timing belt, water pump, and fuel filter every 60k so far.
2) Rear rotors and brake pads replaced at 120k.
3) Front pads (and rear ones again) replaced at 165k.
4) Changed plugs, coolant, and air filter every ~30k so far.
5) Changed PCV valve twice, although probably not needed.
6) Oil/filter changes with 10W-40 every 6-7k.
7) Changed spark plug cables at 150k.
