1995 Toyota Sard Supra -->WIP 56k warning!

First of all I would like to say that I would love to make this car my LeMans entry but couldn't find the OOP decals :disappoin ...

So I think that I will step away for this year contest since I don't think I'll find the time to make another car to that date, but I like to think that maybe... some how... :rolleyes:

Sadness apart... I will try to make this car as detailed as my "newbie powers" let me, :p as always I'll ask for your help along the way.

awsome i just finished mine but i messed the decals up i didnt use mircosol or whatever and cleared it and they got all...nasty so i wont be posting it.

Bobble83: Please don't get me wrong! That's what I respond to non modelling people when they say "Oh you like playing with little cars" or "Oh! toy cars". I'm not comparing my or anyone skills with anything. :icon16:

Shinichi I made the tire vaults by drilling a .5mm hole and putting a .5mm brass rod, cutted to size and glued from behind, of course I sanded one end to get a 90º angle in there and hide the trim mark that the pliers leave. Hope I made myself understood.

Ohh I forgot! PRIVATEER I'm really a newbie this is my 4th build, seeing so many "Maestros" at work really helps to develop one's skills. Thanks AF!!!

Time for a little update.

Full cell 95% finished... SMS CF Decals + Tamiya TS-71 Smoke!!! Loved the result, notice how the light afects the pattern just like in real life CF! :smokin:

I added spacers to give the right look to the wheels, they are to close to the chasis originaly.

I hope I make myself clear with this picture. Notice the Toe in (or is it out) can't remember at the moment, of the front wheels, this is not the angle of the picture, they are like that. Nice to see Tamiya is there to replicate every little detail! :smile: By the way, underside is not finished yet, parts are just dry fitted to check the progress, lack of shockers shows this.

I applied CF to the bottom part of the fuel cell also but this time I sprayed from far away and layed more coats to give this finish:

I made the heat insulation from kitchen aluminium foil and "some" help from my exacto's handler, not bad for the 1rts time! :icon16: Still need to aply washes to the hole underside :icon16:

Started the dashboard... I used grey primer sprayed from far away to give the texture, masked some areas. Next is CF in it and general detailing... will keep you updated soon... I hope. :rolleyes:
