Luxury Station Wagons?!

I've seen far too many people with Mercedes Benz Station Wagons here in good ole Jacksonville, Florida. I believe I've even seen a Jaguar wagon...what is the deal? If I had 1/2 of the money to spend of a car as some people did, totally wouldnt've gotten a wagon...maybe I'm just venting and maybe there just old. Can anyone explain.

because maybe somepeople need a wagon to haul stuff? And for luxury? Why buy.. a caprice wagon when you could afford a bmw wagon?

Buy an RS6 wagon and smoke nearly anything else.

Nothing wrong with Wagons.

Much nicer than an SUV/SAV (Unless it's a Holden or a Ford, Territory/Adventera are WAY nicer than the Falcon/Commodore wagons)

Sports wagons are big. I'd kill to drive the Volvo V70R, and E55 AMG wagon and more. That Ferrari estate is pretty sick.

But a sports wagon such as the Volvo V70R or the E55 AMG wagon, now those are the ultimate family vehicles.

Don't see many of them over here either, I see a fair few 156 sedans, but only a small number of sport wagons, yet in cars like the Peugeot 407 and VW Passat, the sedan:wagon ratio is 50:50.

Though mind you VW and Peugeot are more mainstream and widely available than Alfa's in NZ.

Another interesting tidbit- I see more Skoda Octavia vRS wagons than I do hatches, that is a wagon I'd roll in..... :D

that's what i was gonna say. also the new dodge magnum is a bad ass looking wagon. i'd love to get one, slam it to the ground, put fat pipes on it and some big chrome, deep dish rims. plus it's got a hemi.

Yummy, Chip + Exhaust + FMIC + BOV = WRX killing Skoda Rep-box station wagon (Or you could even get a 1.8T 4x4 wagon, chuck on a vRS kit, lower it on 17's and get the engine up to vRS levels and beyond). Basically, being a 1.8T VW motor, easy to make fast on the cheap, while being more reliable than just about anything and it's STILL a wagon :D.

I see your 456 Venice and raise you an Arnage.

Both are uber rare, Ferrari actually made the 456's, (like 7 or 8 of them, that black one was for sale at one point, not sure on its current status.) The Bentley was done by a conversion place, there's also a Continental and a few RR's wagons floating around.

The Bentley is pretty ugly, but the Bertone Aston Martin Jet 2 looks pretty sweet!

I always was fond of the Volvo station wagons and the V70 really is nice.
