Thanks to this forum I was able to narrow down my cars misfiring problem and fix it in one afternoon. No telling how much $$$ I saved by not going to the dealer. I thought I would post what I did in case it helps someone else. First of all a disclaimer. I am not a particularily mechanically minded person but approach things methodically. I say this to encourage those that may be experiencing the same problem that it wasn't very hard to fix. Like anything else, you just have to take your time stay organized. Also, the car has 40k miles on it. All I did was unbolt the fuel injector assembly, turn it upside down to expose the injectors' inlets, and then soaked them for 30 minutes with Berrymans Carb Cleaner. (This was preceaded by unplugging several vac lines, elect connections and removing the upper air supply assembly, EGR valve, and throttle assembly. Not too bad) Then I cleaned the tiny inlets with Q-tips and repeated until the Q-tips were clean and the inlet faces were nice and shiny. So far I've spent only $4 for a new can of cleaner. :) I carefully reinstalled everything, fired it up, and "bingo" runs better than ever. Obviously, this is not a step-by-step post but hopefully you get the general idea and save yourself big $$$.
