muffler problem

Okay i have a 97 caviler and it came with a exhaust but it has a silencer ut im having a :banghead: hard time taking it off becuz the nail were its tightend up is rusty and old so u can't turn it. So im really having a hard time anyone have any :naughty: ideas on how to take it off.

I'm not sure of the exact fastener you're referring too, but my advice would be to buy some break-away, spray it on it, let it sit overnight (in above-freezing temperatures) - then spray WD-40 on it the next day, let it sit a few hours, and then try it. That stuff should break it free.
