Engine cuts out horribly at all speeds

I have an 89 full size Bronco that has been trying to die on me for about 6 months now. But this past two weeks it has gotten to the point that it dies, more often than not, when I accelerate from a stop; and if it DOESN'T die? It goes from Ford Bronco to Bucking Bronco, and quite honestly, its embarassing. In the past month alone I have replaced the EGR valve, checked and replaced the fuel filter, air filter and breather filter, done the oil change thing, and replaced one vacuum hose that had a hole burned through it. (I have found several hoses with thin spots due to touching hot stuff on the engine, and have since rigged them to stay out of the way.) About 6 months ago I had it tuned up and it did run better... for a minute! But now its worse than ever! Please help! Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Ignition Coil? (Those go 'out' when the engine warms up, they're pretty erratic, too.)

Catalytic Converter? Those rob your power and cause a horrible clog for your engine's backpressure. This may cause your problems-from-a-stop. The engine uses all the vaccuum power to stop the engine, and it can't react fast enough to allow all the exhaust to flow freely...
