Hey folks,

Ok, so, this is a longshot...

I'm curious to see if anyone on the list who might have a set of these wheels in good condition...

http://www.roverparts.com/ProductList.asp?Category=WHEELS+%2D+HUBS+%2D+AXLES&SubCategory=PERFORMANCE+UPGRADE+WHEELS&Vehicle=R4&PerPage=1&ListType=DETAIL&PartNumber=ANR6316MNHG

...would be interested in swapping them for a set of these wheels:

Note, they are the same size and price (from AB anyway). I just personally like the look of the mondial style better, but not enough to justify the expense.

I'm in the Akron, Ohio area.

Any takers?

I dont own a car yet, but I just want to complement on your good taste, because I share the same liking for the rims in the first link.

By the way, what year Range Rover do you have? I am looking at from 1996-2003 Range Rovers for when I get my license. I can see in your avatar that you go offroading in your Range Rover. I've had a passion and a goal to go off-roading, and I've conluded that a Land Rover (Discovery, Freelander, defender but more preferably a Range over) is my best choice for my car if I want to go off-roading. My dad's best friend has a '01 4.6HSE and he is willing to sell it to me when the time comes. Is the overall quality of the car good? Reliable? any problems or the limits that I should know for future reference when taking a Land Rover off-road? For reliability and overall quality I would assume it would be pretty good, since BMW has been building land rovers since 1995, since the P38A body (the one you have)

Hi Christian,

Mine's a 2002 HSE 4.6, Rhino Edition. More pics here:

Land Rovers are great vehicles, as you know. Offroad, they are second to none. Onroad, style and performance is excellent.

However, the tradeoffs are as follows, IME:

1) Less than great resale.
2) Expensive maintenance.
3) Questionable reliablility.

The last point is debatable... I've not had any significant problems with either my RR or my wife's 02 Freelander. However, both cars are under 50k miles. My understanding is that when the RR approaches 100k, some pricey parts replacements, mostly to do with the EAS suspension, are usually necessary.

FYI, another good RR board which seems to be a bit more active than this one is located here:

Also, there's a TON of information on Rangies at the same site, here:

Rock on!

nice pictures man! Really impressive. Where's that trail located? because that's the sorta thing I'm looking foward to. It looks like a hell-of-alotta fun. Also just curious, on the flatter and less rough parts of the trail, you had the suspension on the normal setting right? and then when you crossed the river and went down hill you put it on the high-ground clearance setting?

Helvetia, WV.

When offroad, I set mine all the way up all the time. The ride is fine up there. If you exceed 35mph, the truck drops to "normal" automatically. But, if you're doing over 35, chances are you're not really offroad. :)
