slave cylinder?

1987 ford bronco 2. clutch will not engage at all...was told it was my slave cylinder.... and was told that my slave in inside the tranny and the tranny has to be pulled. Is this true? please he;p...thnx

My '87 big Bronco's clutch system had to be replaced all as one piece....(Inside and out) I guess it was one of Ford's Better Ideas.

(As far as I know, it was only up until 1987 that they did this. If your's were an 88, it wouldn't be that way.)

the slave cylinder went out on my 86' and I replaced it in 15 minutes. it is only about $40 at autozone. It is located on the driver side of tranny and is only 2 or 3 bolts. You will need to bleed it out when you replace it just like your brakes.
