I've do this too many times to count in an escalade conversion and repainting my truck. Unless the truck has been repainted without taking the flares off as they should have been you shouldn't have a problem. If so there is more than likely paint along the seam and could cause chipping when you try to pull them off. For the rear there are four nuts you can get to from the fender well area and two inside the truck that require you to remove the back interior panels, a real pain. For the front I never found a better way to get them off other than taking the entire fender off. Again there are 6 nuts or so holding it on probably four you can reach from the motor compartment (but your gonna have to move some things), but the bottom two at the bottom of the fender are impossible to get too with the fender on the truck. So taking it off is the easiest way in my opinion. If you do get the front off with it on the truck putting them back on is another story, try getting this little nut on where you can't reach without dropping it, and when you do drop it they fall futher down in the fender, a real pain in the a**. Hope this helps.

thanks thats really what i was looking for, the other question i had was whether they are adhered with any glue or anything, especially because i have part of the flare attached to my rear, door.

also i was wondering if they were drilled into the actual panel so that i would have to repaint my truck.

they should have double stick tape on the outside and screw or fasteners in the fender well u shouldn't have to repaint
