Engine Swap T/87Bronco F/90 Mustang Gt HO

Hello,
I have a 1987 Full Size Bronco W. 302 and bought a used 90 Mustang Gt HO Mtr Complete off Ebay w. 87k miles. What will I have to Change from my Original Mtr to New one? I Know i have to Change the Intake as it hooks to the Air Cleaner at front and with two Hoses father than the pass Side with One Hose. Appreciate any help. Also Are the Injectors the Same (HO supposed to have 19#/hr)

You are gonna have trouble getting it to run if you don't have the Computer. The '87 truck will not know what to do with the camshaft. (The easiest way to do the swap would be the Mustang block and heads, with the Bronco intake. You can take the fuel rail off the Mustang, and switch that, too.) I wouldn't worry so much about the injectors being the same, unless you had to replace the HO 302's.

The problem lies in that the Bronco Computer will try to run the Mustang block like it was the Original engine. (see Engine Swap /Trouble threads...) In 1987, they didn't have a HO 302 programmed in it. For simplicity's sake, I would stick with a Bronco year '87-89...those were the years they built "together". Nothing else is gonna be easy.

Thanks Truck and All. Can I Change the Chip in 87 Computer to make it work or will I have to get a 90 Mustang gt Computer and if i need the 90 Computer, will it plug into buss where original computer is plugged in? I Guess i should have done more research b4 buying Gt Motor. Hynd sight is 20/20.

Depending on the chip, it certainly may be a good way around the whole mess. I've never tried one.
