-1990 Olds Eighty Eighy Royale with idiot light cluster-
Okay, after i "fixed" my speedo like 2 weeks ago, it stopped working again the next day. The needle does not tell speed. I took the speedo out again and this time when i pulled it out and put it back in it never started working again. Last time i could pull it out slightly and put it back in and it would be like an on and off swich for the cluster.
What i think the problem is, is that whenever i turn the ignition on accessory or start the speed needle bumps up to 0 mph(it rest on a little pin that sticks out when no power is given) like its getting power. It does the same thing when i pull the cluster out slightly and put it back in.
Does this mean that i need a new speedo or does it mean that a connector that gives the speedo a signal is dead?
I would REALLY like to get this ongoing problem fixed so if someone could help me it would be greeeat!
