These are the same colors in my 2001 silverado. Does this color code still apply? If so, I have both sides out of phase :screwy:

That should be from 99-02. I think they changed in 03.

would having both speakers wires reversed cause sound problems? I know if one side is off it sounds real bad. I hate to say this but my new TYPE-R Alpine 6 1/2's I put in last night sound ok. I wonder if they would sound better if soeaker leads were correctly wired :disappoin

the wiring has been the same since the late 80's in all gm vehicles, except for the radio acc wire used to be yellow and is now green. if the speakers are out of faze they will usually sound ok at low volume but like shit when turned up.

Does anyone know for certain if it changed in '03? I'm guessing so since my '03 has a Class II Databus radio.
Does anyone know where I can find an ignition switched wire near the radio in mine? I'm trying to find a place to power a cell phone hands-free kit from.

if you drop the lower dash down and take the metal sheild out, find the main harnes coming down the column and find a pink, orange or brown wire. they all should be about a 10 gauge size. and use any of these, i would recomend a fuse on the wire for safety.
