Corvette Engine Question

Are the engines from Revell's 35th anniversary Camaro and their Corvette Z06 the same? Because the transmission configuration from the Z06 engine has a long drive shaft from the engine half to the transmission which is located in the rear and would make it hard for me to put it in a 67 chevelle.
Thanks

The tranny layout on the 35th Camaro is like any LS1/LT1. The engine and tranny are in the traditional layout. I just bought the Revell 35th Camaro for the engine as a swap for my '65 Impala.

If you wanted the Corvette engine you should (in theory) be able to mate the Chevelle tranny and the Corvette engine together with a little creative thinking.

Just cut and glue ;) Or if you dont have the vette yet get the camaro engine. You can make it fit with the rear trans just modify the chassis.
