my problem is when I try to start my bronco all I get is a click from the selenoid when I turn the key. I thought the starter was bad so I rebuilt it and brought it to autozone afterward to make sure it worked. I have put in a new battery, and changed the selinoid, and a new (+) cable from the battery to the selinoid and still the click?????
Antone have a idea or this has happened to you????

i had a bad conection in me jeep. what you need to do is mix bakeing soda and water and srube every thing. were my bear wires were touching the conector is were my corotion was, it didn't even look that bad , but i did it and now it starts every time. well not really because the engine sucks and wont start when it is hot, but that is a nother story. just make sure that all of the conections are clean ( even if they don't look it) and make sure every thing is tight

Yes, this takes me back. I replaced the battery more than once, the leads once, and the solenoid so many times I should have bought stock in the company...What really told the story was when the alternator went out.
In cold weather, the battery doesn't have the juice it has in the summer, the leads are gonna drain the battery, the solenoid "burns" longer to get the Amperage, the starter wears out hoping to do its job...While the engine is slow-cranking, the Alternator doesn't play 100% of its role. (I went through the cold-weather praying for about 2-3 years before the alternator went clear to hell.)
You can get a rebuild kit, or check the junkyard. I replaced mine for $65.

More then likely its none of the above. I just bought a 86 Bronco XLT w/ a 302, all i got was a click like you. Replaced the solnoide, coil, cap and rotor...nothing...so i replaced the ignition controll modual. It's on the distrubutor...that will more then likely fix your prob..leme kno...
