i got some good advise from the guys on this website.you can also try on this site ford ranger and F150's they are simlar.

fords are not so bad. you just have to know them.one key is make sure you use the right tanny and pow/sterring fluid. most old model are type F in both.most people dont know that and dont relieze they have a problem til many,many miles down the road. i have had a few fords all used and learned,so now when i get one, one of the first things i do is flush and service both.
