Photoreduced gauges?

Hey guys, I've seen photoreduced guages mentioned in several threads, but so far haven't really found any sources for these. I'd be truly grateful to anyone who could direct me to some good photoreduce-able gauge images. Thanks :).

Thanks a lot, those should work just fine. Any other help would be welcomed, though. :)

Funny you should ask: I found a Demon Tweeks racing supply catalogue I got with a magazine in Ireland like 6 years ago, and saw plenty of gauges in there. I was going to scan them for myself, but I have a lot decal sheet with gauges on them that I could use. Want me to scan the pages for you?

Like these AutoMeters? I scratchbuilt these and drew the art for the faces and made decals. - Mark

I'll tackle this one since I have mentioned it a time or two. Go to www.summitracing.com and go to the section with gauges. They have the best pics of Auto Meter gauges. Get to the largest image and save it to your hard drive. Then I manipulate the gauge face in my photo software. For a gauge panel like the one pictured above, I create a new image with the four gauges, size it to fit the openings and print. It usually takes a time or two to get the spacing right then I print the final image on photo paper. I cover the printed image with clear Scotch brand tape for protection and to serve as a lens cover.

The gauges above are mounted from behind the dash so it is easier to place all the gauges on one image.

White faced gauges are easier to work with than black ones. The detail gets lost in all the black ink when you print them out in 1:25 scale, even on the highest quality setting on my printer.

Also, you have to realize that Scale-Master's gauges are 1:12 scale. I've seen this model in person. It won Best of Show at the 2003 IPMS Nationals in Oklahoma City. Words do not and cannot describe this model!!!

Hope this helps. Marc

Scanning right now. Anybody who wants them, shoot me an email and I'll send them out (Even reduced 50% they will be big files).

OK, got them scanned. It's 6 pages, about 200kb each. Most are black, a fair number of white ones, and some really cool ones than are round but have LCD readouts in the middle.
