Manual Drum to Power Disc brakes

Im changing the brakes on my 70 Chevelle over to power disc brakes(the rears are staying drum for now). I have the correct spindles, rotors, calipers, master cylinder, booster, rubber hoses, new wheel bearings, and new ball joints. I recieved a proportioning valve from the PO also, but Im not sure if its correct.

My question is, will the prop. valve fit in the same place as the old one(lines connect the same?) and can I use the same hard lines from the master cylinder down to the prop. valve? My existing prop. valve is mounted down on the frame, is that where they all mount(in my 307 Chevelle, and in BB Chevelles?)

Also, could anyone get me any pictures of thier proportioning valve?

If you original master was a dual it should all be the same set up. Are you using GM parts or an aftermarket kit?

GM parts...the proportioning valve is used and still has 3 lines on it, 2 that go to the master cylinder which would place the prop. valve around the fender well area, not down on the frame.

Some valves bolt on a bracket that bolts on the fire wall using the same bolts as the master. If yours has two holes in it that is the one. Some also attach to the bottom of the master itself. You can also let hang from the lines using coiled lines underneath to the block on the frame. Remember the large bowl on the master feeds the front disk and goes to the font of the valve. So the lines from the master may criss cross.
