I just ran the check on my Ford and it tells me that "Random/Multiple Cykinder Misfire Detected"
Can someone tell me what i will be looking for to pay for a rapair if it can be repaired at all.
At first i thought it will be my Air sensor but it tells me only that one code, perhaps other will show up after i will fix that one....Oh man...
I got that reader on Ebay and it is really cool thing to have it.

I feel your frustration. Not as many of us windy owners have the 3.0L. On the 3.8L, the Camshaft Position Sensor can cause problems....I have read a few posts where the plastic housing cracks at the electrical connector. P0301 - P0306 indicate specific cylinders. P0300 indicates that it cannot narrow it down to one cylinder. I do not know if that would be as few as 2 cylinders?.... If so...possible coil pack. At least, on the 3.8L....it is a pack of 3 coils.....with each coil firing 2 cylinders.....
Also, you might run some fuel injector cleaner through.....I use Redline, but I have read good things about the Chevron Techron, and also Fuel Power. And change the fuel filter.
I would do the plugs (use the correct Motorcraft replacement) and wires. Then go from there. I have the 3.8L....as most of us do.
I am assuming that you have the CEL illuminated.....If not....I would suspect the reader.
Please post back your progress....

Yes i have had the CEL on but after runing the codes,it cleared the illumination of CEL.
I will try to do it today or tomorrow but getting to change the plugs is not easy on this car, kind of hard to reach.I might have to go to the shop and let them do it and making sure all wires are in "order".
IO have trans' problems with shifting at the stop and i have read that if the engine has some sort of a problem,it may cause trans' to behave abnormal.
Thanks wiswind.
PS: i was very sceptical getting 3.8 engine,i had a blown gasket on Lincoln( got the hole on the top side of a radiator, with a coolant still in a tank i kept driving till it die, though it was an old car for rather temprary use)

If you take the cowling off, you have plenty of room to access those rear plugs.
