Auxiliary Fan Motor Problem - Not Sure

I have a 2001 Max SE 20th Anniversary edition and lately I started noticing that when I turn the engine off I hear the stuttering noise.

At first I thought my car was dying on me but I pinpointed the problem to one of the cooling system fans. This morning it got worse - it vibrates and stuttering noise won't stop.

Does anyone know if that's a problem with an auxiliary fan motor or maybe propeller itself has shifted? How much it will approximately cost to change the motor or is it worth trying and checking myself?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

It should go on only in long idle, hard drive or very hot weather.

See if its not loose, propeller is tight (similar tightness to the non noisy one), nothing loose and/or leaning on its rubber pad 'insulated' structure. Replace or just take connector off. With one fan you can get life through, not maybe on Paris-Dakar desert rally...

Thanks a lot! That's what I was going to ask this morning - if I can disconnect it until I get the part and use just one fan... Appreciate your help!
