Hi, guy im new here and just found out about it 2 days ago. i have a 2002 Gle Maxima. it has 45ks on it.
the only problem that i have with the car is when im going 30 mils an hur or more when i punch the gas a little it doesnt make any diffentce like it used to before, i have to go all the way down with the pedal so it would change gear and go fast. i read the problems that other people had and found out that i dont have any ECU codes. it basiclally works sometimes great and some times it just dosent. it would really help me if anyone had any idea what so ever what the problem could be.
thanx

Bad TPS?

I have had the same problem , I have changed TPS, ECTS, KS.
I have been using ultra94 oct, however the engine runs retarder from time to time, so down shifting gets a bit slower.

If you are talking about no transmission downshifting you need to first relearn the ECM to recognize "accelerator pedal released position" and "throttle valve closed position".
accelerator pedal released position relearn procedure:
1.make sure accel. pedal is fully released
2.turn ignition switch on and wait at least 2 sec.
3.turn ignition switch off and wait 10 sec.
4.turn ignition switch on and wait at least 2 sec.
5.turn ignition switch off and wait at least 10 sec.
throttle valve closed position relearn procedure
1.turn ignition on
2.turn ignition off and wait at least 10 sec.{during above 10 sec.you should hear throttle valve moving
Above procedures are a base point for ECM.If it does not solve your problem you are going to need a scan to determine fault.
No warranty?
