Hi peeps. You all sound like really nice friendly helpful people. Hope you can give me some ideas.
I have just bought a 1.8 V6 MX3. I am friendly with a mechanic who has changed the air filter, fitted a nice new shiny exhaust, and changed the oil to mobil 1.
I dont want to change the engine just yet as I would probably get overexcited and crash. (Last car was a 1.3 Hyundai Accent!)
What other basic mods are there??? xxx

hey man, some of the most basic mods would be a catback exhaust, Cold air intake (most commonly a 90-93 Integra Kit modified to fit our car), and lastly a short shifter really makes driving a pleasure.

Thankyou! Your a star.
Being a chick living in the UK (where MX3's are quite rare) its hard to find parts but at least I know what im looking for :-)
I (well, my car) has developed a squeeking noise when a turn the wheel. Have checked for brake dust etc but has not made a difference. Have you heard of this before? Oh knowledgable ones! xxx :-)

Aww shucks.. a star? :P tee hee hee
Often if would be your power steering belt that is slipping that would cause this noise. You could try tightening your tentionner a bit, but ultimately replacing it would be the best choice. They are roughly 30$ CDN (~25$ US) for the belt.
