I called up Autozone and they have it on special order for 119 bux...when u look near the oil filter, there's like 2 things near it...one is like a black plug and the other this big cyclindrical thing with a wire sticking out of it....not sure which is which though....waiting for my Haynes service manual....

damn, i got a quote from autozone for 68 bucks, and i thought that was expensive, i read onnline that high oil pressure could be a bad sneding unit or possibly that the oil pump relief valve might be stuck open

yeah its part number OP25801 by Nieoff from autozone 68.99.....but now im confused i talked to merlin from st charles isuzu and i dont know if my sending unit is a one wire piece, or if it has multiple wires coming from it, he said usually a one wire unit is for the oil light, and the multiple is thw guage....im getting wierd reading on the guage, one part is 74 and the other is 9.18 so i am hoping i need the 9.18 ond and not the other, any one have and ideas or can help in any way???? thanks

Hmm..this is what mine looked like. It was also asking for "LIGHT" or "GAUGES" option...I have no idea what that means, since I thought my Rodeo 4WD has BOTH the light and gauges in it...

yeah i dont think mine is the switch though, if your standing in front of the car, there is a round part with a wire on the end of it right in fron tof the oil filter....(i thought it was the oil sending unit) but then i talked to someone who said that it was probably the oil switch for the light to come on when the pressure is too high, the problem i am having is not with the light, it is with the guage??? is there another place on the engine somewhere with the acutal oil pressure sending unit not the switch?? please help

I think this might help....its not exactly the one I have, but the parts are similar...one is a switch and one is the sender...if anyone can confirm this, please correct me.

i ordered that part from autozone yesterday($69) and it should be here tomorrow, just for fun last night i was going to try to find the sending unit and clean it to see if that helped the problem, i found the sending unit, its under the oil filter, to get it out i had to remove the oil filter, and it just unscrewed, it has 3 wires that plug into the end of it, i cleaned it out with a q tip, and my oil pressure reading went from the 110 that its been at for a few days, down to around 60.....so im pretty sure the sending unit was why my oil pressure read so high, ill post back here tomorrow after i put the part in

Good tip man! Did you have to drain the oil before removing your oil filter? Yeah, I'm quite sure your sender unit is different from mine (93). I think the 92's have GM engines and 93's have Isuzu engines.

yeah our engines are different but id bet they sending units is still somewhere right around your oil filter, i put a pan under the oil filter just in case, but no no oil spilled out,....maybe bc the car wasnt warmed up or something
