The blower for the front is right behind the glove box on my '96 Winny.
The blend doors are vacuum actuated so you may want to check the vacuum lines to the doors. I believe the blend doors are supposed to default to the defrost setting if they lose vacuum.
Also wonder if there is warm coolant getting to the front heater core. Must be warm coolant getting to the back if the back is warm.

The Blower Motor Is Located Behind The Glovebox Up Above And Left Of The Passenger Kick Panely, Your Blower Motor May Have Be Disconnected If Some One Had Accedentaly Kicked It, Happens Frequently, If It Is Connected U Can Check For Power, If U Have Power, Check Resistance Of The Blower Motor, If It Read Ofl, You May Have A Bad Blower Motor Resistor, Being In Ontario, It Could Have Got Wet From Moisture And Rusted, Very Common For Ford
