Remove Radio panel 98 Windstar

I need to repair / replace the cigar lighter in my 98 Windstar. How do I remove the panel to get to it. The car has an after market radio. I've already checked the fuse so I assume the wire became disconnected from the lighter unit during the installation of the radio.

Pull out the ashtray and find the toggle switch underneath and lift it and the tray out of the holder area. Disconnect the wire lead to the light inside the ashtray compartment and leave aside. You may be able to see from there that the wire is connected or disconnected. If no access at this point then there should be a couple of screws inside that compartment and these have to be unscrewed. From your right side of the steering column you need to pry out the plastic shroud, and you should find another hidden screw to undo. From there you should be able to pry off the rest of the front shroud around your radio and heating components etc. To get access to your cigarette lighter and radio.
