Towncar terrible engine knocking somone please help!!

Not too long ago I bought a used 1992 lincoln towncar v8 ohc
soon after I needed to replace the master cylinder. anyway too make a long story short before getting it right I messed it up and end up with a buch of break fluid in the vacuum booster.

I cleaned out the booster but foud that for a while afterwards the exhaust would spew white smoke eventually this went away and I thought I would be ok.

Not so now my engine has a really loud knocking sound that dosent seem to be getting any better I think it is related but am not sure I changed the oil, and spark plugs two of which were black.

I dont know what to do I think I may have accidentaly messed up a perfectly decent Auto. Anyone please advise

Black Plugs? Is that black oily, or black sooty?
Oily would indicate blown rings, valve stem seals, head gasket.
Sooty would indicate over fueling.

Knocking depends on the knock. Connecting Rod knock and pre-detonation knock sound similliar but resonate from different locations, and indicate different problems.

The white smoke is related to oil burning, could be brake fluid as well. If you completely isolate the booster vacuum line from the engine, you may be able to determine if it's burning brake fluid or oil.

It's nearly impossible to discuss this knocking without actually hearing it so, take it to someone more experienced and see what they say.

What is over fueling?

when Idleing the knock is more of a soft clink but when the engine accelerates it becomes a verry loud knock

Right now the white smoke has gone away

Like I said before, you'd be better off having someone that knows knocks listen to yours.

My first instinct, based on your comments is "spun rod bearing".
