God Damn Yuppies

People need to learn that because they have 4WD they can't go zooming around everywhere. This guy flew past me then slamed on his brakes sliding around in his lexus truck. Almost hits me and says I am driving too slow. There is snow with ice underneath it. I was doing 20 in a 30. He was doing well over 40. 4WD does not mean go fast damn it. SUVs are NOT trucks. Trucks have Diesel/Gas Engines. a bed, hitch, and decent payload capacity and tow rating. The stupid high school kids driving like there is nothing on the ground. God damn it why are people so damn stupid.

Agreed; the rich folks are buying high end suvs and thinking they're invincible. They're too stupid to realize that 4wd helps you go but not necessarily to stop, and they completely fail to realize that the laws of physics do, in fact, apply to them the same as everyone else.

don't forget about the people who never engage 4wd and go tearing down the road.

Yeah; "Hey, what's this lever for? I never use it."

Oh sorry, it's not a lever on the high end suv's.....it's a button. They still have to do something to activate it.

I just had a situation similar on the weekend. Some asshole driving up on my ass, in an SUV. It was snowing and it was a complete white out. At times I couldn't see the front of MY car and I was doing 60km, so idiot passes me and proceeds to gun it ahead of me. I got about 5km further and guess who had spun out and wrecked his SUV in the ditch ... you guessed it. Now, I did stop to see if he was OK and he was out of the car and standing at the side of the road. I stopped, rolled down the window and he said " I have a 4x4 and didn't think this would happen to me." IDIOT!!!! So I let him borrow my cell phone and proceeded home, at 30km.

Yeah. But according to the EPA suvs are not considered trucks due to the Fuel Economy ratings. Pickup trucks and I believe pickup based vans as well are exempt from the ratings.

Some idiot at the shopping center also pulled in right next to me. I had to crack the door and lower the window all the way and do the racing/dukes of hazard style enterance to my car. Thanks to him I SLAMED my front end on concrete curb/ and island thing. I was parked in the first spot of the lot on the side. I told him I have his plate number and if there is any damage he will be paying for it. The wife gave me a dirty look as well. I told her she wouldn't have had to make a rude deragatory comment if she didn't marry a stupid asshole. GRRRRRRRRRRRR I HATE STUPID people. Myself included.

some trucks have the buttons now. But i prefer the lever. I would never buy a truck that isnt 4x4 seems like a pointless truck if its not four wheel drive.

bah! my 87 toyota pickup isnt 4wd at all, and i think its the FUNNEST truck to have in the snow!

I dotn have a problem with snow down here but i still have punks doin that in there 4wd suvs and trucks, but mostly it is the punk ass kids with there civics and integras. And i agree with u imtheoneandonlyD i will only get a 4wd truck or a fast car and since i dont have the truck i have the car, but soon i should have a 4wd ranger

Damn 4wd give people too much confidence is what it is a lot of the time. Good thing is that most of the people me and my friends see in the ditch are rich people and we charge them $50 to pull them out, we made over $1000 total one night but haven't ever come close to that again.

I had a tiny ford ranger that had a crappy 4 cylinder and I did just fine in the snow. There was a small hill at my grandmas a 4 wheel drive couldnt get up. He had to have a guy get his tractor and pull him up the hill. I just drove right past him with no prob. The problem was they would slow down at the bottom and then try to gun it to get to the top. One guy did that in his truck and he slid off the side of the road down a 4 foot bank into my grandparents cow field. People out towards my house get stuck just because of their stupid driving bc they think having a four wheel drive allows you to go faster.

Actually a 2WD truck is good if your hauling a lot in the bed and need the payload ratings. Also very good if your pulling a fairly large fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer. I was getting frustrated that my car could barely make it up the damn hill up the block. I was spinning 5k and it was slowly doing the job if i let up to down shift I would have rolled right back down the hill. The damn thing can pull 2k but not go up a hill :confused:

My first truck was an 00 4wd ranger. It was a nice truck. But i upgraded to the V8 and have more power for roughly the same gas millage(little less) but well worth it in my mind.

Due to some moron at the supermarket I now have a my struts knocking. I am not fixing it unless my wheels fall off due to other suspension damage that may be caused by this. I just hope I am not on the highway if and when it happens.
