Caddy Vs. Taurus

Hi, I've got a 2001 Cadillac Deville with the handling package (computer controlled electromagnet suspension) with the north star 4.6 v8 5spd, cranking out around 375 hp, also has stabilitrac, traction control and all the other unnecessary things that come along with the 47,000 sticker. This 'friend' i know has a 1999 ford Taurus SHO which has the 3.4 v8 putting out at best 250 hp (stock 235). His SHO has coil over suspension, 4 wheel discs, 4spd Anyways he thinks that his taurus with very close weight to my caddy can 'smoke' me, your input on the subject will be much appreciated - derek

it's all you man, there's a reason why that was the last incarnation of the SHO, cuz they suck. they changed from a potent v6, to a v8 making the same amount of power, however in a heavier car that doesn't handle as well as it's predecessor, not to mention it's butt fugly. he may get ya off the line, but overall i'd put money on your car.

just make sure you learn how to brake torque and you should be able to use your torque advantage to beat him.
