Corolla Sportivo Vs Mazda3 SP23 Vs Impreza RS

I've got around AUS$30K to spend on a car. It will be an everyday ride, so needs to be reliable, and what I want most is a car that offers spirited city driving. As I understand, the most important factor to consider for this is some good low end torque. This is why atm I'm leaning towards the Impreza RS.

Has anyone had experiences with these cars?

Give us some numbers on the Sportivo and the SP23...we dont know what they got...we are stupid Americans who care only about ourselves

Max Torque: 180Nm @ 6800rpm

SP23
5gears, NA, 2.3L, FF, 0-62mph=9.8s
Max Power: 115kW approx 150bhp @ 6500rpm
Max Torque: 203Nm @ 4500rpm


And if some of those figures are in units you don't usually use i.e. Nm, I'll put in the RS just as a comparison

Impreza RS
5gears, NA, 2.5L, AWD, 0-62mph=8.9s
Max Power: 112kW approx 146bhp @ 5600rpm
Max Torque: 223Nm @ 3600rpm

At first glance the sportivo looks hellla nice, 141kw from a 1.8! wow! but I heard you gotta rev it past 6000rpm to feel any of it, and anything under 4000rpm makes you feel like you're driving any old toyota.

yeah, you said your looking for low end so if the sportivo doesnt create anything until 6000 rpms then i dont think that is what you want.

for what you want i think the impreza RS is your best bet. best low end and a little faster than the mazda from 0-60 and im sure the aftermarket is a good size.

pick the car that fits you best.
