Get the VIN off of the truck you are looking at and go to KBB.com or another automotive website and look it up. that should give you a better idea of what it's got. I have never personally heard of a GT truck so hopefully someone else will let you know about it.
I have a 96 Sierra 4x4 k1500 and have been very pleased with it. Mine has the vortec 350, the 94 will have the TBI. I test drove a 95 with a TBI and compared it to my 96. The TBI was very sluggish compared to the Vortec.

The GT was basically a styling option. They were stripped of almost all the chrome and the bumpers were painted the body color. It seems the factory (GMC) took tips from the aftermarket community for the look of the GT.
They are very sharp looking trucks.
As a matter of fact, that is the styling direction I'm headed with my '96 GMC.
As far as power, the '88 thru '95 5.7 liter is very sluggish compared to the '96 on up Vortec. You may want to invest in some power enhancements for the '94 GT.
I would start with headers and a true dual custom bent exhaust. Then I would start on the engine with a more aggressive cam, intake manifold, and air cleaner system.
I believe Whipple still makes a supercharger for the TBI 5.7 liter ('88 thru '95), if you want to go that far.
Good luck!

I just picked up a 1994 step side extended cab sierra gt 5spd 4x4 with 133k miles on it. I really can't find a whole lot of information on this truck. Is it rare? What extra options does it have that a regular sierra doesn't? I only paid 1500 for it and it has the normal cab corner rust but other than that its pretty solid I am thinking I got a good deal am I right?
