I have two things to say about the Aztec, first it looks a lot uglier from the back and second :apuke:

I think Aztecs were meant to be driven off of high cliffs. Preferably in a deserted area.:devil:

they tend to resemble a rhino cith its legs cut off at the knees.:D

The thing that pisses me off the most about today's cars is the 70% use of plastics. Almost every car thesedays 9except good ones of course) Has PLASTIC! So what if it can take better impacts and can be replaced cheaper, I hate PLASTIC! that part of the reason I am way more interested in Porsches and Ferraris, they at least keep Plastic usage to a minimum. There are of course plastic parts on every car but the Asstek has no need for half of it's body panels to be made of recycled lego! That's my $.02 and now back to the Aztek bashing.

Anyone watch speedvision? Well today on motorweek i heard that pontiac kept the asstek out of a gm show so it can redesign it, and unviel it at a pontiac show. One of the redesigns that stuck out the most, is a spoiler....a fuckin spoiler on that piece of shit...who's idea was this...that will surely increase sales by atleast 500%:rolleyes: seriously who ever designed this car in the first place should really be shot.

FYI: Never in my life have I discarded a LEGO. (on purpose; I'm sure some got into the vacuum!) All of mine are in a box waiting for me to have kids so they can come back out and play. :D

Has anyone else seen the Aztek protype? I'm not talkiong about the new facelift, but the original. It is actually uglier than the production version IMO, if there is such a thing!

Concerning the Aztek, Pontiac is giving it 17" wheels and finally painting anything gray body-color (yes, the bumpers).

Yeah, I see them everywhere. Not much better...just without the gray bumpers. The taillights are way too big.

yeah, that guy was put on the C6:eek: ...but they supposedly rejected his plastek designs (like all of the gray moldings that are on the aztek). John Cafarro, the designer of the C5, has seen the C6 and he said that he likes it. I guess it can't be that bad then. Man, GM must have been :bonghitte:bandit: :smoka: when they made that decision!

Its been awhile since I visited this post, but I still think the Aztec is beyond a shit box. The absurdity of killing off the Trans Am but keeping this heap of feces is astounding.

It's too bad so many of you hate this vehicle because of the way it looks, because they have a great ride once you drive it. It's so smooth you'd think you were hoovering, same with the Rendezvous, which look a little better with a chrome package. Buick is coming out with something similiar to the Rendezvous later this year called the Rainier. From the looks of the Rainier, it's not too bad, and from the ride of the Rendezvous, it shouldn't be that bad of a vehicle.

I did get in one for a quick drive. It was not any better then a Explorer for ride quality and still looks like a shitbox from the inside.

I actually don't mind the look of the aztek as long as you pay the extra for the color coordinated side molding, it was really only the ugly plastic that made it butt...

Don't blame just ONE designer for the look of the aztek... What the designers drew up, compared to what rolled off was quite different, there was too many reengineering touch ups for bumper, molding etc that happened after the final design that when the FIRST aztek was build the designers were VERY dissapointed in how it ended up. They knew right away, so don't think it was there idea to come out and make an ugly SUV, just bad process from final design to engineering..

Eating flesh is a taboo, your comparing something taboo such as eating flesh to a good vehicle such as the aztec. A taboo is something rejected by society because it is outrageously wrong in case you were wondering, i dont think 6,000,000 ppl find the aztec in the same category as eating flesh.
