I just dont get it. I am not flaming or starting anything, I just wish for someone to explain to me how drifting is a sport in the US? Just curious.

How is bowling a 'sport'? When you have 'recreational' past-time become competitive... it then becomes a sport...

Drifting is more show than sport, in my opinion. Fun, but not my type of thing.

try drifting, you'll see after that, it takes true skill not just doing donuts in a parking lot

from dictionary.com:

Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.

Driving is a physical activity, therefore drifting is. It's governed by rules and customs, and it's competitive.

Therefore, a sport.
