since you live in florida, you can't buy an FTO, they were only available in europe and are not legal to import to the US for street use.

let it be known I WILL GET ONE AND I WILL DRIVE IT... how? I dunno yet.. but I WILL!!! NEway FL has less strict lwas on Import vehicles its not like other states. Hell a guy down the street has a full blown skyline R34... so If he can get that, I can get an FTO right?

its not florida law, its federal law that prevents the import of cars that were not built for the US to be sold in the US in order to protect our used car market from dumping. There is a legal process to federalize a skyline and it is owned by motorex, who spent hundreds of thousands on developping that process. There is no such process for the FTO and will not be because there is little demand for the FTO in the US because its so similar to the 3G Eclipse.

A guy at evolutionimports.com named Adam told me that he could get me one. Only An FTO costs 6,500 and to ship it would be 900 ish... and to ship it in pieces here from puerto rico (to allow it in the US) would be 7000 and to re-assemble it would be 1,500 HOLY SHAT! it would be a Like a $19,000+ to even get started! but IT CAN BE DONE...so.... Im going to go pick out the color I want just in case I find 20k....*smirk* www.evolutionimports.com call and ask for adam... tell him Chris's friend Reuben from FLA to you to talk to him.

i never said you won't be able to get one here, you'll just never be able to register it. Also, how do they plan on "reassembling" it? are they going to cut the frame and then try to weld it back together?

I am so glad I live in the UK, the FTO is great car and nothing I have ever owned before even compares to its styling and handling, don't know how you will get one into the US but if you do manage it well done, you won't look back
