I have a 2000 tauras (90k) ...When wheels are turned either way..most noticable at low speeds ( backing out of driveway,etc)...There is a rubbing sound....like in dash or around firewall.....Could this be the strut?...Is there anything else that could cause a rubbing noise while turning?

Re: Rubbing sound 2000 Taurus. Locate rubber boot on steering column at inside firewall and spray with silicone lube. Worked great for us. Dealer wanted $160.00 just to check it out..
