what year rx7 do you have???

why do you have the the same cars in there but just in different models??? i think most people are gonna say find the VR4 or TT in manual or go with the dodge r/t but it is basically the same car as the 3000gt. we can argue for days on which car (VR4 or 300zxTT) is better but the truth of the matter, it just depends on what you like...

Look for a manual in good condition...hopefully less than 150k miles....crossing both fingers....less than 100k miles

hmm, if you want a car to have fun with i would suggest something old, rwd, and japanese, maybe a 510, or an old toyota. why an older car you ask? well they are cheap, not to complicated, look cool, differant, easy to play around with, and really easy to make fast, and if you go old enough no emmision worrys (thats big here in utah)

well, it says in your profile that you drive an 87 rx7. with the money you would spend buying one of these cars, you could buy a supercharger kit or swap to the tII motor with a few mods and decimate all with your rx7. unless...you just want a new car, then i can understand.

If you saw the prices of the cars in the poll...you would see that they are no where near the prices of what a Supra TT are going for...

He's sick of his current FC3S, so I doubt he wants another RX-7, even if it's a newer one...

I'd say go with the R/T, simply because finding a TT 300ZX or VR4 5 speed in that price range that isn't beat to crap, is kind of like trying to get laid by a hot chick after four days without a shower...

Because the RX7 are not reliable they cost to much to maintain, and a 93-95 RX7 need rebuilts around 100k miles and the rebuilts arent cheap.

You know, for what a twin-turbo anything from that generation of cars costs, you could be sitting in a C4 (albeit non ZR-1) Covette.

Seriously, LT1 powered C4 Corvettes with higher mileage regularly come in at under 20k, and many times under 17k if they don't have the options Vette collectors want.

You want to go up in performance, up in reliability, and down in repair costs? Go Vette shopping.

Some tips.

- 1984 Vettes only had 4spd transmissions (auto or manual) and had the weak-kneed L82 Chevy 350 with the infamous Crossfire injection system (nicknamed Cease-fire). Tuned Port Injection became the standard from 1985 on.

- 1989 was the first year of six speed manuals, and 1990 brought a stock bump in compression to the base engine.

- 1991 Vettes had an optional adjustable suspension.

- 1992 was the introduction of the LT1 (50 more hp than the previous small block cars) and also the introduction of a traction control system and Goodyear GS-C tires.

There you go, happy Vette shopping.

Well for fun... that would probably be the 300ZX with RWD and lighter weight it is a little more nimble then the bulky grippy 3000GT/Stealth which are more of a showy touring car. Both very similar though - a test drive of each to decide? Personally I would get a nissan 180SX (240SX with SR20DET) or a GTiR for fun since they are much lighter although not as quick but cheaper to play with I imagine plus you would get one in better nick for that sorta money. Also a high mileage twin turbo will probably not be very reliable and make sure its gonna be a manual.

wouldnt a 180sx have the ca18det motor in it not the sr20? not that it really matters as it does not pertain to this thread.

The 180SX originally had the CA18DET (as did the S13), but when they switched to the SR20DET, they didn't change the name to 200SX. Go figure.

The 200SX's in australia have the SR20DET but i think that might be a diff car, cos that's what we call the silvia s15 :S

Yeah, the 200SX down under is what they called the SR20-powered Silvia. In America, we had a FWD 200SX (basically a Sentra coupe) from '95-'98. Go Nissan confusion!

Wow! That is VERY confusing...like two totally different cars hahahahaha
