Have an appointment next week with my dealer to have a window actuator on my X5 replaced. This is the 3rd time I have had one break. First the front passenger, then the rear driver and now the driver window. Anyone have this problem?
What sucks is the first one happened under warranty but the last 2 are out of warranty and the extended service plan I bought only covers the window motor and not the actuator, so I'm out $300 each time this happens. BMW dropped the ball on this one, should have made a more durable part... :disappoin

BMW's are known for bad window regulators. Its just one of the horrible ideas that BMW came up with.

I feel you pain, I have had my passenger side replaced twice, I was lucky though because my platinum extended warranty coved the expense for me. So far that’s been my only issue I have run into since the car has been outside the manufactures warranty.

Yes BMW has a poor Window actuator. but keep in mind they break so your window dosen't ... don't open your windows in cold weather....
