knorwj

just got to #5

hint #4 you may have to use google for. because I don't think the information you need to use to solve it is common knowledge. Another thing with 4 is that you may need to adjust the contrast/brightness of your screen to see certain things. (that may be a bit too much of a hint... sorry)

edit:ok just got to #6: you will need google for #5 also...

Jswigz... check you pm's

I can translate the german, 'you are always so negative', but is that a clue?

Lets not forget he went to an old school...

I don't have anything in the lower right hand corner?

does the title of the webpage "then his life went down the hill" have anything to do with it? i've tried anagram, backwards, I've tried making anagrams out of all the words on the page i've tried alll the words backwards and forwords etc. dammit I hate anagrams and anything else having to do with letters... my brain doesn't work that way haha.

one anagram for backwards is draw backs so I thought maybe that because of the then his life went down the hill thing but nope I was wrong again

White text on a white background is practically invisible.

Go back to the lower right hand corner

Jay!

i'm not even sure it's german the language that i need, but perhaps their pop culture.

The clue includes "bitte grÜsse* auch junimond und mme paris, ok??"

*they used the other letter for the "ss" sound, but i don't know how to type it.

"junimond" translates to "june moon," but i think it's also the name of a band: http://www.byebyejunimond.de/

I thought "mme" was a typo (you'll see), but now I think i need to understand the context better...

eversio11
11-09-2004, 05:40 PM
bitte gruBe is a polite form of 'hello', something like 'good greetings'. As for junimond, never heard of it. 23 must be a tough one. Any chance you know how to get past 8?

speediva
11-09-2004, 06:21 PM
I know that typing in Twix backwards gives you something else... I was trying not to reveal it to everyone else... I looked up a "candy bar history" and it said Twix was released in 1970's as "Twix"... no game for Tangie. :(

finally... You KNOW all about minnie the moocher... but try to APPLY minnie the moocher

speediva
11-09-2004, 06:24 PM
Jay, I think mme is the French form for either Madame or Mademoiselle(sp)... I'm thinking it's another song... Like it was already stated, bitte gruesse is a formal greeting.
auch = also
und = and
and if you need help with "ok" then you... need help.

Jay!
11-09-2004, 06:29 PM

Don't forget all kinds of computer language, including binary

saturn - you've seen a lot of german and other european languages in this game so far. maybe the twix bar alternative name is foreign?

Jay!
11-09-2004, 07:35 PM
"alternative" is a sort of literal hint. hold the "alt" key and type one of those numbers.

you'll get two sets of letters.

the password box hint is "anagram"

;)
