Alright, so right now I have a black 2000 Civic Si in excellent condition and I'm thinking about buying a VR4. What are some thoughts on the differences between these two? I realize, as speed goes, there is a big difference...but how about just regular street driving and reliability? What do you like more? Should I sell my Si... and pay an extra $4-5k for a VR4 with low millage?

Its a better looking, better handling, much faster, with alot more potential, performance car. Its heavier but it has the power to overcome that. You could problably get a good price for that Si of yours and afford a good condition VR4.

They're alright daily drivers, and everyone i've known with em only ever really had tranny problems w/ it.

I had a 1992 3000GT VR-4...... had a few problems but for the most part it was an incredible car during it's day.... had the tranny and clutch go out a few times, and one turbo replaced....

What's the gas millage like on the VR4? Does it require premium like the Si?

Completely different class of cars. Insurance, maintenance, ride, features and a host of others are hard to compare. The VR4 requires premium gas. The VR4 has little to no usable trunk space. The VR4 is bear to work on. The VR4 is a rare car.

With all that said, get the VR4 :sunglasse
