same link (under dash) but different reader. On my '96 the only ABS light I have seen in 120000 miles has always been fixed by topping the fluid in the reservoir right up to the max line.

Sorry, guess I should have elaborated. The factory manual for '96 specifies a Rotunda New Generation Star (NGS) tester 007-00500 or equivalent. I don't know what exactly that is , but that is what is calls for.

It is highly dependant upon the reader. The more money you throw out, the more functionality you will get. Some high-end readers will allow you to access the ABS system as well as the PCM and GEM to troubleshoot and diagnose nearly anything.
