As you probably know, I would like to organise several European Meetings during summer
For now, we can manage THREE meetings during this summer…start your engine….

- As I won’t be free before july, let’s begin from 15 July to 30 July :
Andreas Miehe (German 850 Csi owner) posted this on the forum :
“Hi there E31 owners,
I am a 29 year old German interested in everything about the E31 and visiting the US. In 97, I arranged a trip around visiting some people I met on usenet, and I had a great time. Now I'd like to do such a thing again, this time around the E31. So: Are there any of you E31 owners out there in the US who might be interested in spending some time with me ?
Alternatively, maybe some of you would be interested in coming for a few days to Germay? I still haven't decided yet wether to organize something. European owners would have an advantage in bringing their cars ;)
Agenda could be something like this:
Jul 20:
13:00 Arrival in Munich, Lunch
15:00 Guided tour in the BMW factory (I have to check when exactly they'll do it)
19:00 Visit Munich city and the Hofbräuhaus
Jul 21:
11:00 Visit of the BMW museum including lunch
17:00 Leaving towards Italy
20:00 Dinner in a nice restaurant
Jul 22:
No specific schedule yet. Driving around in the Alpen mountains in a convoy. Enjoy the steep streets and narrow curves. Maybe some sightseeing.
Jul 23:
We'll spend this day at the Nuerburgring. Everybody who wants can drive the 8 on the track, it's open from 12:15 to 19:30. (Check www.nuerburgring.de) This is a Monday, so the track shouldn't be too crowded.
Note that is a rough schedule that is subject to more detailed planning. I'm especially open regarding the dates.
How do you feel about this? Suggestions?
I want to get an ídea as to how many people would be interested in attending -> if it's worth organizing it.”
Of course www.clube31.com will support him and help him finding owners and ideas for the meetings but we need YOU !!!
- Second idea of meeting : Alpina Meeting : 11-12-13 August
See this link : http://www.bmwm5.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000203.html
Same idea as the first one, including Nurburing racetrak too…but with nice Alpinas including B12 5.0 & B12 5.7l coupés
- And the last of my idea, a week around the 26th of August
Sunday 26th August, the Dijon Prenois racetrack reopens like on the FIRST MEETING OF 8 Series , 15 October 2000
By the way you can now see some videos of our first meeting on Mikael Borgstrom FTP : ftp://ripley.nltech.se/mpeg1
And of course some photos on www.8series.org and www.clube31.com (Meeting -> Europa)
Enjoy….
I need your support, your ideas, mail me if you’re interested !!
Even if you live outside of Europe, i will be probably able to manage to get you an 8 to travel with us during the meeting ;-)
The thing that would be nice is to visit several Tuners in Germany, and the thing that would be really GREAT would be that tuners could come with their tuned 8 series to show us their products in real as I’m sure several members would be interested in purchasing some products for their car...
