its like a time bomb tick sound, it sounds like its coming from the mid right section where the plugs go

Early and mid 90's Troopers were notorious for having stickign lifters. I was told to run good synthetic and a mobil 1 filter. I have go 230k on my 95 trooper. Replaced the lifters once. Runs like a champ.

Common problem, do a search for TSB's on the internet, maybe on this site, you'll find it. Try some "Seafoam" in the oil for a while, flush, then go with a low cold-weight synthetic (indicated by the first number) like 0w-30 (Mobil-1 in the tsb), 5w-30, 5w-40, etc. Avoid 20w-50 like the plague! I've had good luck with 5w-30 Mobil 1 and Rotella T Synthetic 5w-40.

I have a 1994 Isuzu Trooper and had a clicking (very loud), it was the timing belt tensioner. Check yours out before someone has you replace the motor. Good luck!

Actually, that is another common Trooper issue, enough so that Isuzu updated the part. So, should anyone have it replaced (it's a good idea), make sure and get a new genuine Isuzu tensioner. The symptoms of this though sound different than the clicking lifters, it's more of a rythmic rattle that comes and goes, usually at idle. Sounds something like a diesel. Eventually it will become constant, but try not to let it get that far!
