Bought a '94 civic in August and it the front left bulb went out. It has no user's manual so I'm in the dark on how to remove the bulb to put a new one in.

Pull the plug out. Pull the rubber piece off. There will be a metal tab that you push in and down a little til it unhooks. Then you just turn the bulb and pull it out. do the reverse to get it back in. Make sure you don't touch the glass on the new bulb, you'll get the oils from your hands on it and it will kill the life of the bulb. Here's a pic of directions: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/CivicSpoon/bulb.jpg

You don't take the whole headlight out, just pop the hood and do what I said above. It's a lot less complicated than it seems, believe me I just changed mine about a month ago for the first time.

I edited the pic with a number chart of what to do. You'll see the big black rubber ring right in the back/center of the headlight, the plug is right in the middle of it.

Oh and the retainer ring comes undone like a safety pin. You have to push in and then down to get it to un hook the other piece of metal, then it will just swing out with the bulb.

ok so looking at this pic here @ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v473/CivicSpoon/bulb.jpg

is this like looking from the front seat in that direction type thing through the engine into te back of the light? so i unplug the 3p thing, then i get the black pluggy thing out then i de-saafety pin the retainer spring, pop out the bulb placement, replace and viola?

Yeah that pic would be like leaning on your front fender looking in the direction of the front bumper. The pic shows the back of the headlight assembly. And yes you got the steps right. With the plug you have to squeeze the tabs on each side to pull it off.

If there are problems changing out a bulb, who here changes their oil? I'll start slow, who checks the oil? I am guessing that most here are still in high school driving dad's car. Has anyone thought about installing auto/remote start? All I ask, is please do not waste your $60 on the module and put that more for school.

No prob. Do you mean that you don't want your corners to be amber? If you do then they have to be amber, you can't have clear corner lights; it's illegal.

What the fuck are you talking about? You're making that comment to everyone, when it was only a few who were asking questions. No one asked for your damn opinion. If you're going to come on here and make ignorant comment, then you might as well leave because no one tolerates that shit around here. If you want to be a prick then I suggest you go to another site that doesn't care about you being an asshole. I own my own damn car, pay for insurance, pay for gas, pay for parts; all of it by myself. I just learned how to change my oil and replace bulbs this year, because I never bothered to learn until now. My old car was a beater and I never changed the oil because I didn't care about it and was waiting for it to die. And I didn't get into even liking cars until about 2 and a half years ago because they were jsut a mode of transportation to me. I figured why would I bother learning to do maintmance when I could pay someone to do it for me. I may have just learned how to change my oil and headlight bulbs, but I learned how to put an H22a into a Civic 2 years ago. I bet you can't even do that.

Very well put. Learing how to change the oil two years after doing an install is nice work. I will bow to those whose authority is superior to mine, especially those who can put a H22a into a Civic 2 years ago. I have realized that I am a loser. I put a post on here a while ago asking for help with some difficult electrical components. I post it twice, but I am guessing that something like that is too technical for anyone to answer. I have now realized that basic, repetitive questions are the only types that will get answered. Having 348,000 on my original civic engine is how I show off the quality and craftsmanship of Honda

clear corner lights depend on your local laws some states dont care some do i would check before you do this i have clear turnsignals in my car and they are fine with it not only are they in the front but in the back also so check you laws ask a cop or something first that would be the best to do
