I found some new rod bearings and new main bearings for what seem to be a good deal, they are for the B18A/B it says. now I am pretty sure the B20 and B18B have exact same rods, so the bearings would work right, and same crank so mains would work, just wanted to be SURE before I bought them, I also have a B17A, will they fit this, I know the rod length and the cranks stroke differ, but are the journals the same width/diameter?

I know for a fact that the B20 and B18A/B bearings are the same but the B17 I am not sure about. But as far as the width of the journal and the exact fit of the rodbearing, it could be slightly different. Best way to find out would be to call the Acura dealership and ask for the part# for the B17 rod bearings, then call a Honda dealership and ask them if they can cross reference the Acura part# most of the time there is only one letter or nu7mber that is different between to parts that are the same just one is labeled for Acura and the other for Honda.

i felt like saying that it too would work but was not really sure. though i do have a b20 i have noticed that when i go to buy something for it i.e. 12lb flywheel, they will tell me that they don't make them for the b20, but i asked for the b18 flywheel and they had plenty of those. so i have a b18 flywheel on my b20.:evillol: but most internals will cross reference each other. cams, head, crank, bearings, intake manifold, header. but i would do like wtteg said and reference those journals and rod bearings. just to be sure.

yeah, I know abouth that, when the B20 was in my car I had the LS complete head, flywheel, clutch, manifold, harness, etc.
I will go ahead and cross reference them, I might get them regardless if they stay cheap as I might use the B17's head/ecu/dist/etc for a CRVTEC so the B20 would be rebuilt.

damn a CRV/vtec:naughty: that is some crazy sh*t. bottom end torque with top end vtec. now that is a beautiful thing. now isn't there a vtec crv anyway? hmm..... but atleast with teg cams and fuel map that will be nutz.

well Ill actually have the CTR intake, ITR exhaust cams in it. and I was supposed to have built a CRVTEC LONG ago, but ran short on cash, stored the B20 for a year+ finally used it when I did my cluth in my integra only to wreck it and then drop it in the hatch for the wrist pin to walk. what a great B20 experience ive had.... it was damn quick for those post-breakin miles when it was running good.
gonna take it to the track on the stock B17 with boltons though just to see what I can get out of it with stock engine, and to prove a theory hopefully.
