Now if these 4 cars were all stock and they raced, which would win? And what do you guys think is the overall best car in terms or preformance and reliability. thanks

In stock configuration my money would be on the Trans-Am WS6.
Not too heavy and it comes with more grunt from the factory.

Nah, the Supra TT is a bit faster stock, but if you wanna make a highway demon out of one of these cars, I'd go with a twin turbo WS6.

Trans Am. No question.

Yeah, if only the Supra TT weren't so hard to find and so overpriced, I'd recommend it.

i say stealth TT because its just as fast as the other cars and looks very nice, but if i were you i would look into a VR4(looks way better than the stealth)

supra!

now his question asked which stock car is the fastest...and truly its the stealth tt and the supra tt, they basically have same HP and TQ numbers, and same 1/4 mile time so u cant say that one is faster over another stock

now if it were modding time, the supra would win hands down because the 2jzgte engine has MUCH potential

There are all types of races. The winner will change depending on which one you want.

Assuming the 4 drivers all exactly equal, I would go with the AWD 3000GT/Stealth in the 1/8th. The Supra in the 1/4 mile.

kman10587
10-28-2004, 12:39 PM
The Stealth TT can probably hang with a Supra in the 1/4 mile thanks to the AWD, but anything past that and the Supra will walk it.

3kgt8
10-28-2004, 08:19 PM
yea supras are top speed monsters, but i wouldnt necessarily say that a supra would walk a Stealth TT.

Djs87
10-28-2004, 10:33 PM
i always thought the 300zx was statistically btr than the stealth and only a bit behind the supra in 0-60 times. maybe im wrong

kman10587
10-28-2004, 11:55 PM
It depends...on the highway, you're gonna want RWD, but the Stealth TT is a quarter-mile monster. AWD is really damn useful on the streets/at the drag strip.

im pretty sure that a stealth TT with a decent driver can do better than 13.9 in the 1/4. the average time for a stealth tt or vr4 is 13.6 or 13.5. its been proven by many so believe me that is more correct.

Well what year of these cars are you talking about? You could be talking about a T/A with an LT1, or an LS1 (quite a difference). Also the same with the supra, and the stealth.

Sean_91VR4

I think that data on the 3000 / Stealth is of the 1st. gen. 2nd & 3rd gens came with 20 more hp.

All of those times are pretty conservative. I know that Supras and Trans Ams can both do 13 flat with a god-like driver. Still, most of us aren't god-like drivers, so these are good times.

yeah im sure all the numbers can be bumped up a little with each and every car. i have seen 300zxTT's pulling 13.7's and 13.8's bone stock. and i have heard of people getting mid 13's stock. and people say that the supra can pull a low 13 stock. so really they are all damn fast and it really depends on the driver to tell how fast these beasts will go.

nice numbers LK. now that we got all that, what car is btr in the reliabilty and gas mileage.

kman10587
10-29-2004, 11:06 AM
Trans Am should get the best gas mileage if driven conservatively. Reliability is a toss-up, but I'd take the Supra over any of them without a doubt.

:iagree:

when your talking about these kinda of cars, who really cares if you save a few bucks at the pump???

supra or trans am is probably the fastest down the 1/4mile but they all deserve there own fair share of credit.

Djs87
10-29-2004, 11:07 PM
they will pobably all run on super anyway so i guess you have a point.

Skyline_R32_Canada
10-29-2004, 11:33 PM
obviously you cant compare the 1/4 times for the supra and stealth tt cuz they're the same, it all comes down to DRIVER and PERSONAL PREFERANCE

For me, honestly it's a toss-up between the Z and the Firechicken. The Z is a sweet driving car, even if the numbers don't back it up (boss's kid owned a 2+2 N/A and a 2 seater turbo, and both were luscious drives for me) and the Trans Am is a great beastly powerhouse of a car that loves to be tossed around.

I'd own one of each. The 300ZX for long distance touring with some sweepers thrown in, and the Trans Am for tossing around on tight twisty roads, big V8 bellowing and the tail slipping around Smokey & the Bandit style.

0-60 time for a ws6 ta 5.3? i dunno where hat number is commin from but motortrend rates it at 5.0. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupe/112_9912_firebird/index.html im not trying to be biased, but i think it would be a close race between the supra and the ws6

Djs87
10-30-2004, 01:55 PM
like everyone says though, with cars like these that are so close in terms of preformance, it all comes down to the drivers and the car you like best. and of course how much money you have to dump into a car.

10-30-2004, 06:21 PM
ill go for the stealth and 3000gt cause if you now how to rip the clutch you'll see the 300hp in the asphalt since the start of the race

I've heard of the Stealth's/3000GT's hitting 60 in 5 flat also but i'm sure they'll lose a little bit in the quarter mile on a WS6. I'd take the Trans Am any day but the TT Stealth would be my second option.

toyota supra tt
0-60 mph: 4.9 sec

everything else falls sort...you see that coming?

The Trans Am WS6 runs about the same numbers, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to find.

YogsVR4
11-03-2004, 09:16 AM
They all run those kind of numbers. None would be a bad choice, but going with the Stealths more mature sister would be the best choice (the VR4 :iceslolan)
