I am a fan of older American cars ; those with really huge chassis. Chevrolet impala , caprice classic , Buick Le Sabre...you get the drift. I like them of the 60's & 70's period.
Last year I was lured into buying a wimpy 1984 Pontiac Phoenix .It's a lovely car but so very small for my taste. I still crave one of those giant lizards that they made back then.
My question , what are the biggest cars of this period?. I would try & fish for one.

Try looking for a late 60's or a 71' Ford Fairlane...There pretty much boats sizewise....Most common powerplant was the 270CI(??not to sure on displacement) V-8 engine with 280HP.

my mom had a '77 403 Buick Riviera. that thing was a boat, and balsy too. it looked a lot like this: http://www.buicks.net/show_and_shine/Fehlauer/77_riv_1.jpg
i don't think it had the red top though, iirc the car was all black.
