350Z without a doubt. Unless you need more trunk space and a back seat. And yes the 350Z is significantly faster.

Ummm. I think there is no real comparison among these cars. The 350Z will outperform the RSX in every category.
350Z -
0-60mph 5.4
1/4 mile 14.2
RSX-S -
0-60mph 6.3
1/4 mile 14.9
That is just acceleration which doesent mean that much, the 350Z is rear wheel and the RSX front wheel.

Yeah, the 350Z will light up the RSX-S in almost any performance category.

Probably from something in the latest issue of one of the tuner mags.

It all depends on the driver, besides there are more upgrades for the rsx then the 350z, plus the 350 z is rwd, it's harder to control so you tend to slip, as for the rsx the fwd has better traction, so less time is reduced, but it all comes down to the driver

The 350Z doesn't tend to slip at all unless you're in shitty weather. The 350Z has much more power, and you don't have to wait until 6000 rpm to get the brunt of it. It has better weight distribution, it gets better traction on launches, and it has better brakes and tires. I can see from your name that you're biased towards the RSX, but compared to the Z, it's just inferior.

Yeah, I'll agree that the RSX is more solidly built and a much smoother ride.

The RSX's 0-60 and quarter mile time: 6.1 14.8
And now the 350Z's 0-60 and quarter mile time: 5.4 13.6
So yes the 350Z is faster.

Sounds a bit low, but I guess it's possible. Motor Trend got a 13.7.

congrats you win the idiot of the thread award. how is a fwd goin to get better traction off the line? FWDs are the worst. when you acelerate, the weight shifts to the rear taking the weight off the front drive wheels. and when you actually start to make power ( 200whp ) the car spins its tires uncontrollably. go drive a turbo honda and you'll see what i mean.

damn u beat me 2 it! where do these idiots get the idea that fwd is better (my bets on gran turismo)??? some of them say handling is better too its just such BS... sorry 2 tell u but fwd is worse in pretty much everyway compared to rwd... and there is no comparison between 350 and type S? but doesnt the 350z cost twice as much as the RSX? i mean, u get what u paid 4 right?

FWD is better for economy and shitty weather. That's about it.

There is nothing fun about fwd. I also heard that teh 350z handles like a porshe (spelling?). No problems with slippage here. the Z needs more power to even test the stock suspension. If I wasn't a muscle car freak I would be saving up for one instead of putting money into the mustang.

FWD/RWD handling/traction.
depends on how much power/torque you have.
Peugeot have always had excellent handling on their GTi models
Same with the Honda Integra+Accord+(new) Civic 'Type-R's.
Alfa 146 GTA, Fiat coupe, Renault Clio 172/182/CUP, Mini CooperS (ignoring the works models).
all fine driving/handling cars, all FWD.
BUT
of course, all under 250BHP......

It mostly depends on suspension, but they do have different caracteristics. rwd is better off the line and fwd is better in snow. they are econoboxes that they put a little pep into and everybody thinks they are fast and handles better than a vette.
sorry i went on a ramp. but, It is my opinion that rwd performs better and is a lot more fun.

No. The 350z is not double in price compared to the RSX-S.
RSX-S (around) 22,500 US
350-Z (around) 29,000 US

I would save for the Z. The rsx is more room than the z but performace and styling is more important to me. I like the idea of having a two seater. time to remove the rear seats of the stang and put in a roll cage.
