dude u must have gt in the comparision even though it would be unfair for 430 and lamba and here are reasons:::::::::
<1> gt cost less than both of them
<2> 0-60 in 3.3 sec{car and driver}
<3> top speed of 205 mph {1 less than slr mclaren and 2 less than carrera gt and equal to f50 or f40 can't remember which one}.
<4> more hp and torque than both of them.
this is a very strong opinion which can be backed up by very strong results.

The F40 never went about 200mph...so maybe it's the F50...but I'd rather have a F40 over all those cars...

The F40 was the world's first documented production member of the 200mph club, just as its predecessor - the 288GTO - was the first production car to crack 300kph.
F40's documented top speed was 201mph as determined at that glorious proving ground of proving grounds - Nardo.
What's more impressive is that the F40 did this with only 478bhp. The engine, however, was plainly good for more as it was competition proven in the F40LM customer race cars and the Lancia LC2 Group C program.
Besides, do I have to bring up the fact that the F40 was built in 1987? Seriously, we're talking about a car that didn't even have a six speed gearbox and still used a tube steel chassis. The F40 is dinosauric compared even to supercars five years its junior like the Jaguar XJ220. That it took Ford almost twenty years and their top technology to be able to build a car that can hold its own against the F40 speaks loud enough to point out just how bottom-barrel the GT is when in Ferrari country.
0-60 mph: 3.8 sec
0-100 mph: 8.0 sec
Quarter Mile: 11.8 sec @ 124 mph
Skidpad: .94g
Top Speed: 201 mph
Braking, 60-0 mph: 122 ft
Slalom Speed: 68.3 mph

<1> it's still a Ford, compared to a Ferrari or Lambo
<2> yeah and in the quarter mile both cars will catch up to it and then beat it to 150 mph same way as it is with the SRT-10. the one reason in which the GT can hit 60 so fast is it's weight balance.
<3> both the Ferrari and Gallardo are close to 205 mph
<4> um...horsepower is same in GT and Lambo, the Ferrari has 490, and torque is the only deal here, in which neither of the exotics must care about too much.
I'd take the 430 no doubt about it, put all of these cars on the track and see which one wins. My money is on the Ferrari, damn near same power and it's lighter, the Gallardo is one sweet ass car and I think it is underrated but I'm not so sure it can compete with the other two.

Well i talked to a ford dealer and he himself told me that no dealer that gets the gt is going to sell it anywhere near the msrp($140k). I'm not sure what the lambo and ferrari cost but im sure its around $150k. So they would end up costing about the same if not less.

ok up to some extent u r right. the first gt was sold at an auction for more than $ 500,000, just like other supercars. for example, the first ler in US was sold in new york for more than a million dollars{ M-B posts the MSRP at 430,000} a lot more of a difference than ford. as for gallardo here is the price specification from company sight .
http://www.lambocars.com/gallardo/gallardos.htm.
that is an average difference over MSRP. most owners sell it over 180,000 and that is a price for used. give me some time to take prices down for f40 and the difference will be well above 187,000 company MSRP. as i know gt is the bargain super car of the millenium.

Up until the coupe form of the Viper comes out, haha well possibly. I'm not sure how a CC would compete with the GT on a track, but I'll agree with you that it's a hell of a bargain. Hell, maybe even the new Z06 will be within close parameters of the GT, who knows?? It's still kinda weird to be comparing Ford with Ferrari though...maybe back when the REAL GT was racing in LeMans but nowadays just doesn't seem right. It doesn't appeal to me how Ford has to practically resurrect (sp) the old Mustangs with a modern look a like just to boost their sales, it does look good but I'll still go for the most previous Cobra's as they have a mean-ass look to em, the 05's are just kinda...plain.

HEY U R RIGHT. NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD SELL GT AND NOT MAKE MONEY. DEALERS ARE GOING TO SELL HIGHR THAN $139,999. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ABOUT LAMBO CHECK OUT THE SIGHT BELOW:
http://www.lambocars.com/gallardo/gallardos.htm
SO BY CALCULATION LAMBO WOULD BE $165,000+{$15,000-25,000}. U DO THE MATH. FOR XTRA 25k, U CAN BUY A NEW MUSTANG GT.

First of all, turn your caps off next time.
Road & Track's as tested price for the Lambo was around $183,000 so it's another fifty grand. Their test price for a 360 Spider was $176,000 so I'd say the F430 is prob gonna be around that. So obviously it is going to cost performance, and for the buyer he/she prob will look at the GT and say hm..marginally better performance, but c'mon unless your buying a car for nothing but absolute performance not too many people are going to prefer the GT over the other two.
